Nepali Congress Dolpa has recommended candidates for the House of Representatives elections.

The District Working Committee meeting has recommended the name of central member Karna Bahadur Budha for the elections scheduled for 21 Falgun. As per the Central Committee's circular, the names of candidates participating in the House of Representatives, National Assembly and proportional election system have been recommended, informed District Working Committee Secretary Hikmat Bahadur Shahi.

According to him, the Congress Dolpa has recommended 3 names for proportional candidates for the House of Representatives. Outgoing party president Tanka Prasad Upadhyay, Jayakumari Shahi and Ramadevi Nyaypane have been recommended for proportional candidates for the House of Representatives.

For the upcoming National Assembly member elections to be held in Magh, Dolpa has also recommended 3 names. Dudhkumari Hamal, Rajiman Sarki and Juna Mijar have been recommended for the National Assembly members.

Recommendation for the House of Representatives Budha is the elder brother of outgoing House of Representatives member Dhan Bahadur Budha. Dhan Bahadur, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Dolpa with a huge majority three times in a row, is also a leader of the Nepali Communist Party. A former minister, he is almost certain to contest the election from Dolpa on behalf of the Nepali Communist Party. If both get the ticket, it seems that there will be a tough election competition between the two brothers within the house.
