One person has died after falling from a cliff in Mahabai Rural Municipality of Kalikot. The deceased is 65-year-old Church Singh of Bahabai-2 Oda.
Kalikot Acting District Police Chief Bir Bahadur Sunar said that while going home with his wife from his in-laws' house in Ganeshkot, Mahabai-6, on Sunday morning, he fell from a cliff in the lower Ramni in Mahabai-4 and died on the spot.
‘He slipped and fell from a cliff while going home with his wife from his in-laws' house,’ he said, ‘He died after falling 300 meters down.’ He informed that the police reached the spot and with the help of locals retrieved the body from the cliff and handed it over to his relatives.
The deceased was brought to the district headquarters for a post-mortem as there was no doctor in Mahabai.
