After 14 years of its establishment, the police station in Gothijyula has its own building. The well-equipped police station was built with the internal resources of the police after the locals provided land free of cost.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Madhav Prasad Shrestha inaugurated the building by cutting the ribbon on Wednesday. Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrestha directed to work confidently to protect the lives and property of the people.

Police post Gothijyula was established in 2068 BS. 'The police post lived in a rented house for 14 years,' said Jumla Police Chief DSP Rabin Babu Regmi, 'now the service has started from its own concrete building.' The police post building was constructed at a total cost of 41 million 36 thousand rupees.

A three-story concrete building with a detention center has been constructed. The police had been moving here since last Shrawan and providing services from the new building. The formal inauguration took place only on Wednesday, according to the Police Office.

There are 13 permanent police posts in Jumla. Of these, police posts in Gothijyula, Raralihi and Kudari are providing services from their own buildings. The remaining 10 police posts are still operating from rented houses. DSP Regmi said that this time, the construction work will be done at the Area Police Office Narakot and the District Police Office.

According to him, there are 6 temporary police posts. There are 29 police units across the district, including 1 police post, Jumla Airport, prison, hospital, CDO office and court. 'The most comfortable and quality building built so far is the one at the Gothijyula police post,' DSP Regmi said, 'All the structures to be built now will be built like this.'

Since this post is located on the Nagma-Gamgadi road, there was a lot of suffering due to the lack of a building. Now, the police have stated that it will be easier to provide services from security to tourists. During the inauguration of the police post, the locals who provided free land were honored with a dosalla and a certificate.
