The body of a worker who was buried in a dry landslide on Thursday evening at Ghatchaur Bhir on the Karnali Corridor was recovered on Friday afternoon.

Prithi Bohora, 29, of Nuwakhet in Pachaljharana Rural Municipality-7, was buried in a landslide while walking along carrying diesel for a dozer being used to dig a road.

Local Janam Prasad Neupane said that the dozer removed the rock and Bohora's body was taken out on Friday afternoon and handed over to his relatives.

There was a delay in extricating the buried Bohora due to the rock falling along with the landslide. Local Tek Bahadur Bogati said that although efforts were made to extricate him on Thursday evening, it was not possible due to darkness.

The Nepal Army's Development and Construction Task Force is constructing an 11-kilometer road from Thirpu Ghatchaur to Piluchaur in Bajura under the Karnali Corridor, including blasting, from the banks of the Karnali River.
