Ten people were injured when a jeep carrying teachers, students and parents from Gobrahi Basic School Biramkhola in Bangad Kupinde Municipality-12 of Salyan on an educational tour met with an accident.
The jeep (Ra1J 871) heading to Kupinde Lake overturned on the road at 1 pm on Friday at a place called Agneta near the lake.
According to Salyan District Police Chief DSP Hem Bahadur KC, there were 20 people in the jeep. All the injured in the accident are teachers, students, and parents. DSP KC said that all the injured were immediately rescued and brought to the District Hospital Salyan for treatment.
According to him, the condition of Topendra KC, who was injured in the accident, is serious. The jeep driver, Prakash Gharti, 29, of Kalimati Rural Municipality-3 Farula, has been taken into custody by the police.
