Traffic resumes on Rukum section of Mid-Hill Highway, which was closed for maintenance

The Rukum East-West section of the Mid-Hill Highway, which was closed for maintenance at two locations since Kartik 2021, has been reopened from Monday. The road was reopened after 25 days after road slope work was completed in Kiteni, Musikot Municipality-8, Rukum West, and Ranikot, Sisne Rural Municipality-6, Rukum East.

According to Keshav Prasad Oli, Assistant Chief District Officer of Rukum West, vehicles have started plying fully from today after the completion of the 260-meter road slope work in Kiteni and 90-meter road slope work in Ranikot.

The traffic on this section, which was closed for 18 days on Kartik 12, has started from today with an additional 7 days. Vehicles from Rukum West to Jajarkot and Dolpa travel on this section to Pokhara-Kathmandu.
