The upgrading and blacktop work of the Maulahale-Farula-Darmakot road section under Darma Rural Municipality has begun after four months.

The work of blacktopping one and a half kilometers from Maulahale, which was stopped due to rains since last Asad, is underway, said Navin Thapa, head of the Infrastructure Development Office in Salyan. 

According to him, the Infrastructure Development Office had awarded the task of upgrading and blacktopping the Maulahale-Farula-Darmakot-Nuwakot road to Shishir AB Mabu Construction Company for Rs. 250 million in 2081/082.

The construction company had signed an agreement to widen the road, drain, wall, as well as 250 meters of slab slope and blacktop one and a half kilometers. The company had already completed the work of gravel, slab slope, and concrete wall last year. Thapa said that the remaining work will be completed by Mangsir. 

After this work is completed, regular traffic will operate from Maulahale to Darmakot during the rainy season as well, said Darma Rural Municipality Chairman Neem Bahadur KC.
