Kapurkot Rural Municipality has launched a labor campaign to increase local participation in development work.
With the aim of supporting development work, the municipality has launched a labor campaign named 'Kapurkot Jagran' in all wards.
On the first day of the campaign, on Monday, people's representatives, locals and employees who participated in the campaign built slabs on the road leading to the Basic Health Unit Center in Ward 1, Sarpani, Garpa.
Kapurkot Rural Municipality Chairman Durga Bahadur Pun said that the labor campaign was launched to support development work with a small amount of money and the labor of locals. Under the campaign, Rs 300,000 has been allocated to each ward to buy construction materials. According to him, locals, people's representatives and employees will work for free.
On the first day of the campaign, a five-meter wide and 25-meter long slab has been constructed on the road leading to the Basic Health Unit Center in Garpa. Prakash Bhandari, coordinator of the labor campaign and vice-chairman of the rural municipality, said that the campaign was launched to increase the participation and interest of locals in labor donation. He informed that the work recommended by the ward will be carried out under the campaign.
According to Vice President Prakash Bhandari, under the campaign, the office and health post of Ward 2, the road leading to Khahare and Dhanthana, the hut of the Mulpani vegetable collection center in Ward 3, the waiting room at Kalika Temple, the construction of stairs to develop Ghangari Chaur as a tourist destination in Ward 4, the construction of Leksallam-Paiyakanda-Bagale Motorway, Okharpata road slabs, Jamune vegetable collection center in Ward 5, and the construction of a chamena house and a wire mesh fence at the Satamul Barah area religious tourist site in Ward 6 will be constructed.
