The Karnali Provincial Government is planning to organize a meeting with the chiefs and deputy chiefs of local levels within the province to further systematize and harmonize the relationship between the province and the local levels.

The meeting was organized by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday and Wednesday in the provincial capital Surkhet. The two-day meeting will be attended by the mayor and deputy mayor, as well as the chief administrative officers of the respective municipalities. The office has stated that the chiefs and deputy chiefs of all 10 district coordination committees of the province will also be invited to the meeting. According to the office's secretary, Laxmi Kumar BK, the meeting will mainly discuss three topics. First, the interconnection and service delivery between the province and the local level, second - the current practice and plan selection procedure of Karnali Province, and third - local level employees and revenue collection and distribution. According to the secretary, the interaction was organized in accordance with the spirit of cooperation, coexistence and coordination between the three levels of government in the constitution. He said that through discussions and interactions, some of the relationships and problems seen between the two levels of government and solutions will be sought.
