The District Election Office, Jumla, has started an election-focused program for the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21. Discussions have begun on topics ranging from collecting voter lists with photographs to establishing polling places and polling centers.

According to the Election Office Jumla, the polling center and polling station recommendation committee, chaired by the Chief District Officer, has held two meetings. The third meeting will be held on Kartik 30 to finalize the issue of polling stations and centers, informed Acting Office Chief Narayani Chaulagain.

According to her, 352 people have registered their names with photos in the voter list with photos since Asoj 10. Although the date of this election is considered unfavorable for the Himalayan district, preparations are underway in full swing. Acting Office Chief Chaulagain said that the cold weather and geographical difficulties are the main challenges. She said, 'Work is being done as per the election schedule. But the cold weather is not cooperating.'

Since the end of Dashain-Tihar, the number of people going to Kalapahad for employment and going down to the Terai for business has increased. Kali Bahadur Mahat of Chandannath-7 said that the election in Falgun is not favorable for the Himalayan district. 'For one, it snows here until Chaitra. "Since those who go to Kalapahad for other jobs will return only in Chaitra, the expected voter turnout is unlikely," he said.

There are 83 polling stations in Jumla. There are 108 polling stations, including two temporary ones. According to the District Election Office, the total number of voters is 69,456.
