The Karnali Provincial Government is planning to construct various structures worth Rs 211.2 million on the Phoksundo Trail from Suligard to Phoksundo.

A footpath, a trust bridge, a drinking water supply, a waiting room, and other structures will be built on the Phoksundo Trail leading to Phoksundo Lake, a major tourist destination in Nepal. 

It is said that along with these structures, a view tower, sewage system, school buildings, a museum, and a park will also be built in the area around the lake from the budget.

Tek Hitan, Chief of the Physical Infrastructure Office, Dolpa, informed that the provincial government has launched the RING (Ringbo Settlement Development Program) for the convenience of locals and tourists on the Phoksundo Trail leading to Phoksundo Lake in Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality-8.

According to him, 16 waiting rooms and two school buildings will be built through the program. The Guthichaur JV has been given the responsibility of the work and it is mentioned in the agreement that it should be completed by Asar 2084 BS. The program was launched under the chairmanship of District Coordination Committee Chief Shyam Bahadur Rokaya, jointly by Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development Sher Bahadur Budha.
