Fifteen people have been injured in a jeep accident on the Karnali Highway in Serawada, Aathbis Municipality-8, Dailekh on Friday evening.

The Bolero jeep with registration number Bhe 1 Ja 1056 lost control and fell about 50 meters off the road, according to Dailekh police.

The condition of five of the injured in the accident is critical, said Police Inspector Pushparaj Rokaya, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Dailekh. The injured are being treated at Dailekh Hospital and Provincial Hospital, Surkhet. 

There were 16 people in the vehicle, including the driver. The driver is absconding. Police say a search is underway for him.
