Disasters in Karnali: 333 incidents in three months, 6 dead, 29 injured

Since July 1, 333 disaster incidents have occurred. Police have data showing that six people have died in those incidents.

More than 300 disaster incidents have occurred in Karnali Province in the last three months alone. Since July 1, 333 disaster incidents have occurred. Police have reported that 6 people have died in these incidents. 29 people were injured and 1 person is missing. 370 physical structures were damaged in the disaster. 59 livestock died.

The highest human casualties occurred in Surkhet. 3 people died and 7 were injured. 22 physical structures were damaged. 

The highest number of disaster incidents occurred in Rukum West. 2 people died and 4 were injured in 79 disaster incidents. 77 physical structures were damaged. 

Similarly, Jajarkot is also the most affected district. 4 people were injured in 69 disaster incidents. 1 person is missing. 081 physical structures were damaged. Jajarkot and Rukum West are also earthquake-affected districts.

There were 27 disaster incidents in Surkhet. According to the Karnali Province Police Office, there were 35 disaster incidents in Dailekh. 5 people were injured. 27 structures were damaged. 

1 person was injured in 47 incidents in Kalikot. 46 structures were damaged. 29 structures were damaged in 14 incidents in Salyan. Similarly, 18 disaster incidents occurred in Jumla, resulting in damage to 18 structures.

16 incidents occurred in Mugu. In which 1 person was injured. 20 physical structures were damaged.

13 disaster incidents occurred in Dolpa. In which 1 person died and 7 were injured. 10 physical structures were damaged.

15 disaster incidents occurred in Humla. 40 structures were damaged, informed Provincial Police Spokesperson Kedar Khanal.
