An artistic Ganesha temple has been built in front of Chandannath Municipality-5 district administration office in Jumla with the help of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality. In order to establish Jumla as a religious city, the metropolis has built an artistic Ganesha temple.
Lalitpur sent 20 lakh rupees for the construction of Ganesh temple. Metropolitan Chief Chiribabu Maharjan inaugurated the temple on Tuesday after formal puja. Metropolitan Chief Maharjan said that Jumla has been given 20 lakh rupees for building a city of religious tourism. According to him, there is a close relationship between Lalitpur metropolis and Chandannath Municipality of Jumla.
'Jumla is the mother of language and culture,' Chief Maharjan said, 'Chandannath is supported by the metropolis in building a tourist town. Lalitpur, Bhaktapur has an artistic temple. 'Now Chandannath and Bhairavanath temples are attracting religious tourism,' Maharjan said, 'Now Ganesha temple will also be established as a tourist destination.' The municipality is focusing on building infrastructure to attract tourists to the Jumla market, but due to lack of resources, the work is not being done as expected. The temple construction committee chairman Navraj Shrestha said that the attractive artistic temple was built by bringing craftsmen from Lalitpur. According to him, the temple was built after four and a half months. Jumla's stone idol has been replaced by a statue of Lord Ganesha.
The artistic Ganesha temple built in the main market of Jumla headquarters Khalanga has further enhanced the beauty of the market. Local devotees believe that the construction of Ganesha temple will help in promoting religious tourism in Jumla, famous for its famous Chandannath Bhairavnath temple.
