The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has instructed the secretaries of the province to work with a clear plan for improvement, respecting the positive demands and sentiments raised by the Gen-G movement on August 23.
Addressing the meeting held with the Chief Secretary of the Karnali State Government and the secretaries of all the ministries, he asked to transform the reforms into practice. Stating that the people now expect transparency, accountability and ease in the service, Chief Minister Kandel emphasized that the people should feel direct improvement in every service provided by the government.
"The doors of the office should be open to the public, transparency should be seen not only in documents, but also in practice," he said. He mentioned that learning from past weaknesses and adopting new ways of thinking and working should speed up the work.
'We have to find ways to improve yesterday's weaknesses,' said Chief Minister Kandel. He clarified that the priority of the government is to focus on cost reduction, efficiency enhancement and result-oriented service delivery.
Chief Minister Kandel instructed the secretaries to take the initiative to cut expenses that can compete with the current federal government, proposals to cut expenses from training, visits, seminars and non-essential plans, policies and plans to stop wasteful expenses.
