The Raute community living in the forest near Lekbeshi Municipality-10 Chaurase in Surkhet has not been able to move after three months of allowances have not arrived. They are preparing to migrate to Chingad rural municipality after not receiving the allowance, they say that they celebrated Dasain on loan as they did not receive the social security allowance given by the government.

Social security allowance was given to Raute by Gurans Rural Municipality of Dailekh. Mukhiya Suryanarayan Shahi said that he had planned to move after the end of Dasain but stayed in the same place because he could not pay the loan. The government had been giving a social security allowance of Rs 4,000 per month to the endangered Raute community.

Since July, the Route community has not received allowances. This time, Mukhiya Shahi says that since he did not get the allowance, even though he celebrated Dasain with a loan, now he has a problem asking for a loan.

Routey community has 40 houses. Routes say that 32 goats and 55 chickens were sacrificed on loan. Shahi said that 41 goats, 55 chickens and 41 sacks of rice were brought on loan from nearby villages as the allowance did not come.
