18-year-old Sudarshan Upadhyay of Sharada Municipality-2 Khalanga died while swimming in the Sharada River near the suspension bridge in Sharada Municipality-1 Srinagar of the district.
Sudarshan Upadhyay, who drowned while swimming in Sharada on Monday afternoon, was found dead in a place where he was wearing wire netting under water, according to Police Inspector Resham Khatri of District Police Office Salyan.
He informed that the dead body of Upadhyaya was brought to the district hospital for post-mortem. According to him, 18-year-old Sudarshan Upadhyay and 16-year-old Sujan Upadhyay went to swim in the Sarada river.
