Jumla Branch of Nepal Journalist Federation awarded three journalists of the district. Lakshmi Neupane, station manager of Radio Nari Awaz, Kali Bahadur Periyar, owner of Dubo Khabar and Vijay Rawat, owner of Karnali Sawal, were awarded.

Gauri Padam Smriti was awarded to Neupane, Pariyar to Youth and Sports and Rawat in Agriculture and Tourism category. The applications submitted for the award were evaluated on content, writing style, language, approach, experience and context. 

Journalists who submitted the best applications in the applications received by the Nepal Journalist Federation were awarded. Purna Prasad Choulagai, President of Nepal Journalist Federation, Jumla, said that the tradition of distributing awards every year has been institutionalized in the district in appreciation of active work and dedication in journalism. He said that it promotes the professionalism of journalism as well as encouraging journalists. 

All the three journalists were honored with Rs. The district branch of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists has been continuously working to protect the rights of working journalists, promote professional leadership and upgrade the communication sector.
