Doctor and Swaviyu President arrested on charges of drug dealing

A doctor and Swaviyu president have been arrested on charges of drug dealing in Bajhang. Among those arrested are Dr. Milanraj Joshi working in the district hospital and Tilak Chandra Bohra, the president of Swaviyu University of Jaya Prithvi Campus. They were arrested on Tuesday evening.

The police arrested Joshi and Bohra while following the contact of Vishal Rawal, who was arrested with 450 milligrams of brown sugar on August 5. Rawal Jai Prithvi Municipality-9 is a person who operates a grill industry in a place called Chiudikhan. "The connection between Joshi and Bohra has been established on the basis of Rawal's call details, messenger and Hruwats app," District Police Office Chief Khagendra Dhamala said. Further investigation is being done.' According to him, brown sugar is brought to Bajhang from India via Dhangadhi and sold. 

Based on the statement of the arrested person, the police also searched the house of another fugitive in Jayaprithvi Municipality-10 on Wednesday afternoon. 19 fake notes of Rs 1000 were found from his house. DSP Ghamla informed that the owner of the house had given the statement that Tilak Chandra Bohra, who was arrested, had brought the fake note. Some people are still absconding. After being found involved in the business of fake notes, this matter is being investigated in a wider manner,' Dhamala said. 

He informed that both the arrested people are being investigated further by extension of the court. 

Locals used to complain about the increasing number of drug users in Bajhang recently. The leaders here have been speaking in different places about being unsafe even when walking in the evening due to drug users. . 

The police arrested Sandeep Bohra and Sagar Bohra with 100 milligrams of brown sugar and half a kg of hashish on July 3. Following their contact, Deepak Ale Magar and Amit Chantyal were also arrested on charges of dealing in brown sugar. Among those arrested, Bohradwaya has been released under 120,000 house arrest orders. The court has sent Magar and Chantyal to jail for preliminary investigation. 

In Bajhang, experts say that the number of people using marijuana and banned drugs as drugs is also increasing. The police had arrested 22-year-old Gyanendra Mandel and 18-year-old Ajay Mandel, Sher Bahadur Bohra of Chavis Pathivera-2 along with about four kg of hashish since July 22.
