Last year, 162 schemes were completed in Tatopani Rural Municipality

The Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla has put an end to 'asare development' and is making progress in implementing the plan and completing the payment on time. This municipality, which has increased the active participation of the community in planning by conducting the labor donation campaign for the first time in the district, has completed 162 plans in the financial year 2081/82.

According to the report presented in the public hearing program held on Tuesday, it was mentioned that the municipality has completed 159 schemes. Other additional schemes under various headings have also been completed. According to Planning Branch Chief Om Bahadur Chand, out of 123 schemes under financial equalization, 121 schemes have been completed. Similarly, all 14 provincial conditional schemes, 3 federal conditional schemes, and one scheme under the federal special subsidy have also been completed.

A total of 20 schemes, 12 and 8 respectively, have been completed under the Prime Minister's and Chief Minister's employment programs in the last financial year. 

The municipality has spent 132.2 million rupees out of the 17.43 million budget allocated for capital and more than 30 million rupees for current expenses. It said that 31 lakh 73 thousand rupees have been collected for the target of 32 lakh revenue collection.

Chairman of Tatopani Rural Municipality, Nanda Prasad Choulagai said that the municipality has given special emphasis on the development of education, health, agriculture and tourism. "To improve education, we have conducted programs such as darbandi matching, model kitchens, student data collection, teacher capacity development," said President Choulagain, "we are determined to make the municipality a model within five years." Revati Rawal, vice president of the municipality, mentioned that effective work has been done in the field of women's empowerment and social transformation. "We have made every effort to meet the needs of the citizens even with limited resources," she said.

According to Chief Administrative Officer Tirtha Bahadur Kathayat, all completed schemes have been transferred to the respective wards through the consumer committee. "Local ownership is necessary for the sustainability of the plan," he said. He also informed that out of 3300 households in the municipality, 2100 households have been insured.

Chief Administrative Officer Kathayat said that the municipality is continuously practicing the practice of listening to citizens' complaints and improving them through public hearings and regular review meetings. He expressed a common commitment to make development and service delivery more efficient.
