25 of the inmates who escaped from Rukum West Jail on August 24th on the occasion of Gen-J movement have not been contacted. Although the local administration intensified their search, they are still not in touch.

According to Chief District Officer Dinesh Prasad Thani, 88 of the total 158 prisoners in the district jail escaped on the 24th of August around 5:30 pm. Out of this, 63 people have been arrested and brought to the jail.

The remaining 25 people are still outside the prison," he said. "The search for the remaining prisoners is continuing. A public notice has also been issued to help them in their search and we are working to bring them back to the prison in any way.' Although the demonstration of Gen-G youth in the

district was normal, the prisoners in the prison suddenly broke down the first gate and came out. 

We were trying to maintain peace and security throughout the district that day. But after the inmates suddenly escaped from the prison, we immediately went into action and brought back 16 inmates," added Prazia Thani, "Even after that, we have been working actively considering the sensitivity of the district's peace and security. At the same time, work is being done to find escaped prisoners. If they do not come in contact with each other easily, they will have to go according to the law. In doing so, it will be more difficult for the escaped prisoners.' After that, it is said that the restricted area of ​​200 meters around the district jail is still being maintained, while the Nepal Police along with the Armed Police and the Nepali Army are providing security in the jail.
