The Kalimati-Balua-Damdwali road of Salyan, which has been blocked for one and a half months, has not been opened yet.

Due to the continuous rains on July 12th and thereafter, the road could not be opened because the relevant bodies could not remove the landslides in time. Which has a major impact on the residents of Kalimati Rural Municipality-5 Damdwali and Hattidmar . From the work of the local office in the two settlements, they are forced to walk for about three hours to get in the car for business and health care.  Suresh Gaha Magar, a resident of Damdwali and a teacher, said that although he has been demanding the removal of the landslide from the concerned authorities, there has been no hearing. According to him, landslides have occurred in many places from Baluwa to Damdawali. Big stones are piled up on the road. As the river has risen, it is difficult to even walk around. Due to road blockage, agricultural products produced by local farmers could not be sold.

Pramila Sunar of Hattidamar said that she could not go to the hospital for her treatment because the road was blocked and it was difficult to walk for a long time. He says that there is no possibility of opening the road immediately as it is raining everyday. "Even though there is a health facility in the village, it was very difficult to take a local pregnant woman to the hospital on a stretcher from the place where the car drives to take her to the hospital only a week ago," she said. He says that it will be very difficult for those returning home to celebrate the approaching Dasain-Tihar festival if there is no timely removal of landslides.

Kalimati-5 Ward President Top Bahadur Karki said that since July 12, landslides have occurred in more than 20 places from Sandal to Damdwali and due to occasional rains, they have not been able to remove them. He informed that the residents of the ward were facing various problems due to the blocking of the road due to the landslide. He said that as soon as the rain stops, with the help of the municipality, they are preparing to remove the landslide with the help of a dozer targeting the approaching festival.
