Transport service has been disrupted due to stone fall blocking the road in the Jumla section under the Karnali highway. On the road located in Tila Rural Municipality-1 at 8 am, a large stone fell from the road.

Road Division Office Jumla has informed that the transport service has been stopped after the stones covered the entire road. Division Chief Engineer Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary informed that although small vehicles including motorcycles are plying on the road, large vehicles are not plying.

According to him, the road from Raralihi to Nagm is at high risk of landslides. DSP Ravinbabu Regmi, Chief of District Police Office Jumla, said that since half an hour, large vehicles have not been plying on the road.

He said, "The small stones have been removed by the police". It seems that a dozer has to be used to remove the big stone.' Although the dozer is near the place where the stone fell, the work of removing the stone that came to the driver's headquarters, Khalanga, cannot be started. DSP Regmi said, "The driver has been informed." The stone removal work will start soon.'

Now more than a dozen big vehicles going from Kalikot to Jumla and from Jumla to Kalikot are stopped on the road.
