Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel has discussed with security agencies in the province about the latest situation after the movement of Genji generation.
In the discussion program held at the office of the Chief Minister and Council on Tuesday, Chief Minister Kandel directed all the four security agencies to work to reassure the citizens because of the violence and vandalism in the name of the movement.

Chief Minister Kandel assured the security chiefs of the necessary support from the provincial government to prevent further deterioration of peace and security. He said, "Your talukdar body may be the federal government, but the state government is ready to facilitate you in terms of maintaining peace and order in the state."
Chief Minister Kandel said that apart from peaceful demonstrations, the state should take necessary steps to control violent activities, saying that he is aware of the situation faced by the security personnel of the district due to the confusion of the orders from the higher level. He said, "Unnecessary damage was done, the limited manpower in Surkhet prevented further damage with their efforts, but the person who was supposed to mobilize you was not under your control after leaving Latwa."
Chief Minister Kandel also thanked the security personnel for reducing the damage compared to other places. He opined that the security personnel should proceed with restraint as restraint and patience are needed more than insistence, prejudice and revenge. He said, "You should not wait for the above order to investigate the arson and looting in the name of the movement without prejudice and take action according to the law. Investigate without bias and bring the culprits to justice."
