The Gagane Khola road of the Karnali highway, which was blocked by a landslide, has been opened. DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat of Kalikot said that the highway, which was blocked by landslides since 9 pm last Saturday, was restored from 1 pm on Tuesday and was blocked again at 6 pm on Wednesday at 10:30 am.
According to him, all the stopped vehicles are heading towards their destination.
The road came into operation after the army blasted the rocks that fell with the landslide on Monday and Tuesday morning. Businessman Ram Bahadur Khatri said that after the construction of the road, trucks carrying apples are also heading towards Surkhet.
Road division office Jumla cleared the landslide with dozer and after the army blasted the stone, the road was restored, said Gokarna Raj Suyal of Kalikot.
