Public Service Commission program has been started among students in Karnali. The program launched on the occasion of the commission's diamond jubilee year 2082 and 75th anniversary is under the reach of Public Service Commission. The program was started in the presence of Commission Chairman Madhav Prasad Regmi and member Dinesh Silwal in Birendranagar during a workshop on Wednesday.

According to the Commission, the aim of the program started from the provincial capital is to extend it to the wards through districts and municipalities. Joint Secretary Purushottam Sharma informed that the program was organized in all 7 provinces of the country with the aim of informing students and stakeholders about the functioning of the commission and its principles.  In the

program, 2 female students of the municipality located in the headquarters of all 10 districts of Karnali are participating. Similarly, students from various departments of Midwestern University, students from technical education are participating. After the

program, the Commission will welcome the participating students as new friends of the Commission. Sharma said that they are expected to inform other friends about the commission along with the school. Students have been invited to the program, hoping to inspire the youth to join the commission and serve the country. He said, "It is our aim that young people from faraway places can enter various government sectors after taking the exam from the commission. It is desired that the number of people entering the service will increase by informing them about the fairness and cleanliness of the commission.

Head of the Surkhet office, Rudra Bahadur Karki, said that the program was organized to attract the young generation to the Public Service Commission exams. He said that the program was started with the aim of attracting students to government services. He said that even though the number of people taking the commission exam did not decrease, it did not increase proportionally. He said that the Commission is conducting the program according to the plan to increase the enthusiasm among young students to apply for the Public Service Commission examination and to ensure the selection and appointment of the best employees by increasing the attraction and confidence in public service. 

Remembering that it was because of the Public Service Commission that ordinary families and ordinary citizens have reached high positions in the country, Commission Chairman Regmi opined that it is necessary for the youth to join the commission which has created a fair image. He said that it is not difficult to enter public service if there is hard work and ability. 

Public Service Commission goes to the students to inform them about the system and methodology and to inspire them, he said. A similar program will be held in all provinces from 16th to 27th. He also asked the local level to organize programs in districts, municipalities and wards. He promised to help by sending a representative of the commission. After the program, it is expected that the interest and confidence in public service among young students will increase. 

The highest number of citizens joining public service in Karnali are from Dailekh. Dailekh is ranked seventh in the country, while Surkhet is ranked 13th and Rukum West is ranked 14th.  The head, deputy head and representative of Karnali municipality also participated in the

program.
