The Rapti highway has been blocked since 11 am on Friday due to landslides caused by rains since the night. Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 Rapti Highway was blocked after a landslide in Bansbari Ghumti near Chorkhola.

District Police Office Salyan Information Officer Police Inspector Baburam Basnet informed that a dozer has now been sent to remove the landslide.
As soon as it rains, Salyan, Rolpa, Rukum and Dangwasi have been suffering due to the landslides from Chorkhola to Ramri Beach. Basnet said that due to the overnight rain, landslides have also occurred on other rural roads in the district and some roads have become muddy, making it difficult for passengers to travel by car.
