Narharinath-6 Shanti Mavi at Malkot Ratimata, which was closed after the building collapsed due to a landslide, has opened from Sunday. The school was closed since Tuesday after a landslide that fell from above the school on Monday evening destroyed the two-room concrete building and damaged the water supply, furniture and other structures.

Principal Harishchandra Batala informed the students not to go around the building that was destroyed by the landslide and the parents' meeting on Friday decided to start the school.

The school is at risk due to landslides from behind Shanti Mavi, where education is conducted up to class 12, and the digging of a road under the school. Durgalal Neupane, head of education, youth and sports branch of the rural municipality, said that discussions will be held in the municipality for the transfer.

Nisha Vishwakarma of class 10 said that she was happy that the school closed due to the landslide was opened. According to the school, there are 400 students and 250 attended on Sunday.
