There has been a theft in the ward office of Tatopani rural municipality-4 in Jumla. The ward office was stolen on Friday night. Ward President Amar Bahadur Rokaya informed that there was also a theft at the nearby health post along with the ward office.

The ward office assistant came to know about the theft in the ward office only around 8 o'clock on Saturday morning. After seeing the doors of the ward president's office and the store open, the office assistant stopped the ward president and called the nearby police station Hanku to inform them. The ward office is located inside Hanku village, while the health center is on the outskirts of the village.

As soon as the district police office got the information about the theft of the ward office, the district police office and the police station sent an investigation team from Haku. Along with the team, people's representatives also inspected the incident site. 

According to the police, they broke the doors of the Ward President's office and the store room and stole all the goods inside. According to the police, 1 laptop of Dell company, 2 national flags kept in the rack, 32 Vigilance T-shirts with pictures of Gididah, estimated 30 bags of salt and 11 thousand 300 rupees in cash kept in the rack after selling salt were also stolen.

The ward office has two floors. It is seen that they tried to break the lock on the main door of the administration branch on the lower floor but could not break the key. Ward president Amar Bahadur Rokaya informed that the team that stole from the ward office also broke the keys on the doors of all the rooms in the Hanku health post. Actual details could not be obtained as not all employees were available on Saturday. Ward president Rokaye said, "All the details will be received on Sunday." Panic has spread in the village due to the theft of the ward office in the village. 

Hanku Police Station has requested not to walk in any settlement within the ward after 11:00 pm and if there is any commotion anywhere at that time, to inform if suspicious persons are found.
