On the 27th of July, the apples seized by police station Urthuchoutara and delivered to Patarasi Rural Municipality on the grounds that they were going to be exported have been cleared for export.

After the all-party meeting held in the district coordination committee decided to recommend the export of apples from August 2nd, the confiscated and stored apples have been released for export.

Police recovered 28 cartoon apples. Farmers and traders were going to secretly export apples as June ripening apples. Earlier, all the eight local levels of Jumla had issued notices by not being able to collect and export apples until August 15.

But even if the apples do not show color, they should be delivered to the city on the occasion of Teej. On Tuesday, a technical team led by Pramakh Rambhakta Adhikari of Agriculture Development Office Jumla reached Patarasi and checked the quality of the recovered apples.

Before the amount of glucose was only 9 percent. Deepak Singh Dhami, information officer of the Agricultural Development Office, Jumla, informed that it has reached 17 percent when checked.

Apples are generally considered suitable for collection and export only when they are filled with glucose above 10 percent. Apples are automatically considered raw if they contain less than 10 percent glucose. The seized apple belonged to Hariprasad Devkota, a merchant.

Information officer Dhami said, "Apples have been checked and handed over to businessman Devkota. This apple is also suitable for export outside the district.''

Now that all the eight local levels of the district have started giving recommendations for apple export, the activity of apple picking and buying businesses has increased.
