Electricity service has been disrupted in Rukum West and East since Sunday morning. Due to problems in the 33 KVA transmission line from Dang through Salyan to Rukum West, the interrupted power service has not been able to be regularized.

Birman Raskoti, head of Nepal Electricity Authority Rukum West Broadcasting Center, said that the pole was affected by the lightning strike at a place called Simkholi in Salyan on Sunday morning and the problem has been identified.

According to him, initiatives are also being taken to solve the problem. "Even Bagchaur in Salyan is our work area. While we are finding the problem from here (Rukum Musikot), the repair work is being done after a fault was found in the SIM hole,' he said, 'We are working to restore the electricity within about 1 o'clock.'
