Karnali highway has been blocked in places due to landslides since Saturday night. Along with the rains, landslides occurred at four places on the Karnali highway and the Karnali corridor was blocked due to the rise of the river.
Kalikot police chief Tek Wahadur Rawat said that the road leading to Mugu through Sinja near Nagma, the border of Kalikot was blocked due to the landslide.
'Dailekh has been blocked since yesterday evening,' he said, 'the machine has been able to remove the landslides of Calikot and the morning.'
According to him, due to the continuous rain since last night, the Fugad river between Raskot and Pachal falls under the Karnali Corridor has risen, and motorbikes and small vehicles have not been able to cross it. He informed that the road will be opened after the rain stops.
The vehicles going to Surkhet through Kalikot have been stopped in places after the road was blocked by landslides.
