Due to the flooding of Chalgard river in Tripurasundari municipality 1 of Dolpa, Thulieveri river in Tripurakot has been blocked.
Due to the flood in the river on Thursday evening, the river was partially blocked on Friday as well.
As the stones and mud brought by the river partially blocked the river Bheri, the lower part of the Tripurakot market area, Lonka settlement, the lower part of the famous Shaktipith Tripurasundari temple and the farms of the locals are also at risk.
After Thursday's flood, the Tripurakot police station has asked the residents of the risk area to be alert.
Three hundred and fifty households in Tripurakot, Karelikaada and Ralli in Ward No. 1 have been deprived of electricity after about 200 meters of the dam of Chalgard Small Hydropower broke down due to floods.
Local youth Purna Sarki of Tripurakot informed that Kathe bridge and two Panighat dams connecting Lonka settlement were completely washed away.
Along with this, he said that the sudden heavy flood washed away the simikhet, two cattle sheds and a tractor in about five plantation areas in Valaidanda.
Sarki Tol in Tripurakot has also destroyed the embankment to protect it from floods and landslides.
Deputy Inspector of Police of Tripurakot Police Station Yam Bahadur Basnet said that as the flood on Thursday blocked the river and washed away the land of the local people, the police asked the residents of the risk area to be vigilant.
"Thursday there was a big flood in Chalgard river, due to which a pole of the power line connecting Chalgard small hydroelectric town, Kareli was washed away," Sai Basnet said, "today the flow has decreased, the big stones brought by the river have partially blocked the river, the danger is still there." It is said that the pillars on both sides of the bridge were also damaged.
