After a landslide on the road, the vehicles brought by the tourists who were going to see the Rara lake were stranded.
Transport services have come to a standstill after landslides occurred on the Nagm-Gamgarhi road leading to Rara Lake, a major tourist destination in Karnali. The landslide that occurred near Bagbazar in Hima Rural Municipality-7 of Jumla at 8 am has not yet been resolved.
The vehicles brought by the tourists returning from Nagm Gamgarhi and going to see the Rara lake were stranded due to landslides on the road. The road has been buried again due to landslides from the upper part of the road. The road division office said that efforts are being made to open the road.
office head Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary said that the necessary equipment and manpower have been mobilized to remove the landslide. "Efforts are being made to open the road as soon as possible," Chief Choudhary said, "All manpower has been mobilized." The work of removing the landslide has already started.
Passengers expressed their anger saying that they could not remove the landslide even after three hours. Normal landslides have been removed by locals and road workers. JCV is being used to remove large landslides. Armed police, Nepal police, road workers and locals are also there to open the road.
