The Gangne Khola road of Kalikot, Karnali Highway, Surkhet-Jumla road, which was blocked by a landslide since Friday evening, has been opened.

Two machines (JCB) were put into operation on Saturday morning to remove the landslide.

According to Kalikot police chief DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat, two machines were mobilized in the morning to operate the Karnali highway blocked by landslides. He said that the road was opened in one direction after the landslides that came to Gagane river were removed.

After the opening of the road, the vehicles coming up from Surkhet through Karnali Corridor and highway and stopped to come and go from Humla to Surkhet through Kalikot, Jumla, Mugu, Bajura are heading towards their destination.
