Due to the landslide, the road has been blocked again in Gangne river of Surkhet Jumla road section of Karnali highway. The road was blocked after the rain since Friday afternoon led to a landslide in the Gagane river at 6 pm.

"It is not possible to open now," he said. He said that it is not possible to work on landslides as the rain is continuously falling.
Every year there is a landslide in the Gangane river on the Karnali highway. Two years ago, Road Division Office Jumla installed Gavin Jali through a contract of 3 crore rupees to prevent landslides in the same place, but last year it completely washed away.
