The Rapti highway, which was blocked due to landslides, has not yet opened even after 13 hours. Even though JCB is being used to remove the landslide, the landslide has not been removed yet.

Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3, Rapti Highway was blocked from 6 pm on Sunday after a landslide occurred at two/three places around Chorkhola. After the road was blocked, more than a dozen passenger vehicles have stopped on the road. 

Due to the rains, even the alternative route is not possible for the passengers to face more problems. Police Inspector Resham Khatri of District Police Office Salyan said that a large landslide occurred near Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 Chorkhola and the Rapti Highway was blocked for a long time as the landslide removal work could not be done during the night. He informed that since Monday morning, the JCB has been used to remove the landslide. 

According to him, it seems that it will take one more hour to remove the landslide. He said that after the rains, there are always landslides in the vicinity of Chorkhola, so the passengers are suffering and the lives of the passengers are also at risk when the roads are damaged due to the landslides.
