Four people trapped in the flood of river Bheri have been rescued safely in Dhupichour located in Thuliberi Municipality-3 in Dolpa.
The team of Nepal Police, Armed Forces and Nepali Army rescued four people who went to collect firewood brought by Thuli Bheri which came from Urler this morning.
Among those who were rescued are 33-year-old Lalit Bohora, 26-year-old Nanda Prasad Bohora, 37-year-old Shyamalal Bohora and 35-year-old Lalkumar Budha of Tripurasundari Municipality-6 Palang village, the police said.
According to Ruk Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dolpa, a team including Chief District Officer Rom Mahat immediately reached the spot after receiving news that four people who had gone to collect firewood were trapped in a thicket.
He said, "There was some problem in clearing the river due to its large size, some problems have also been seen in the chest of the security personnel engaged in the rescue operation." The administration has also requested the residents of that area not to go to the coastal areas and be aware.
