A committee has been formed to investigate the poor quality of earthworm manure distributed by Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla. Friday's village executive meeting formed a 5-member investigation committee under the coordination of Tatopani-4 spokesperson and ward president Amar Bahadur Rokaya.
The municipality distributed earthworm manure to the public on July 6 and 7 according to the vice president's program. Farmers were outraged when they found the manure that they bought from Divya Organic Fertilizer Chitwan looked like red soil. The
committee has been given the responsibility to submit the investigation report within 7 days. Village Chairman Nanda Prasad Chaulagai expressed confidence that after investigating the quality of vermicompost, the purchase process and even the complaints of farmers, a real report will come out. Apologizing for the technical error from the rural municipality, Tatopani rural municipality has promised that this type of problem will not be repeated.
