The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has instructed to implement the budget effectively. He stressed on the need to effectively implement the budget of the current financial year by taking lessons from the weaknesses and challenges seen in the previous financial year.
Addressing the annual review and action plan formulation seminar organized by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development on Friday, he said that it is necessary to implement the plan in a timely and result-oriented manner so that the plan is not limited to paper only.
'On the basis of what weaknesses we have done in the past, we should pay attention to the implementation of the upcoming budget,' he said, 'There should be transparency, accountability and coordination at every stage from budget creation to implementation.' He instructed the secretary and the head of the office to create an environment where challenges such as delay in the implementation of
plans, imbalance of funds, lack of monitoring and substandard construction work do not repeat.
Chief Minister Kandel said that people's lives can be directly influenced only by making plans by understanding the needs of the people. He said that only if the monitoring system is made more effective by strengthening the coordination between federal, local levels, ministries, and project implementation units, the people will be able to feel the development made by the government. In the
program, ministers, state ministers, secretaries of ministries, Head of department, head of district office were present. The participants presented the practical problems seen in the implementation of the plan and possible solutions.
