A pedestrian has died after being hit by a jeep in Surkhet. On Wednesday morning, a man died and another woman was injured in a vehicle collision near Dhuliabit located in Birendranagar Municipality-11.
District Traffic Police Office Surkhet informed that 34-year-old Prem Budha of Birendranagar Municipality-11 Dhuliabit died in the accident. During the treatment, he died around 11 am, traffic police chief lawyer Sunar said. According to him, a Bolero vehicle numbered K.P.02001 Ch.0944 coming from Gumi towards Surkhet hit two locals who were mowing grass from a mini truck stopped on the side of the road.
32-year-old Tilkumari Budha was injured in the accident. The police said that his leg was injured and his condition is moderate. The driver, 21-year-old Yamalal Sunar of Lekbeshi Municipality-6 of Surkhet, has been detained by the police.
