Three farmers awarded

Three farmers of Surkhet have been awarded the Chief Minister's Best Farmer Award. The best farmers of the district were awarded on Tuesday, according to the Agriculture Development Directorate Surkhet.

Vinod Sharma, who is cultivating bananas in Veriganga Municipality-8, has won the first prize. He received a certificate of honor with 30,000 cash. Lalit Prasad Lamichhane, who is cultivating fruit and dragon fruit in Birendranagar Municipality-13, received the second prize of 25,000. Similarly, Anjana Budha of Bheriganga Municipality-10 has been awarded the third prize of 20,000. He is doing vegetable farming and animal rearing business.

Honoring the farmers, Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Vinod Shah said that although the amount of money is small, the motivation is exemplary. He believed that such a program would inspire others to get involved in agriculture.

'Agriculture is an important sector as food is necessary for everyone,' he said, 'those who contribute to the development of the country by being involved in this sector, it is necessary to honor such a person . The contribution of the agricultural sector to the national capital is high. All the farmers can be connected only if agriculture is commercialized.

Vinod Sharma, an award-winning farmer, said that he was encouraged to get involved in the agricultural sector. He expressed his commitment to continue working hard in the agricultural profession in the future.
