Surkhet police have arrested 5 people with 30 kg of drugs and 1.3 million fake notes. The arrestees were announced at a press conference on Tuesday.
In a press conference, Surkhet police spokesperson DSP Mohanjung Budthapa informed that 30 kg, 672 grams of opium-like 26 drugs and 1,300 pieces of fake Nepali notes worth 13 lakhs were seized.
The arrestees are 22-year-old Dilmaya Singh Thakuri, a resident of Jajarkot's Kushe Village - 5 House, Birendranagar Municipality - 10 Shantoli, 33-year-old Ram Bahadur Singh of Kushe Rural Municipality- 5 Khurpa, 35-year-old Krishna Bahadur Wali, 38-year-old Prem Bahadur Vick of Surkhet's Veriganga Municipality- 7, a resident of Gamaudi Village- 7.
Similarly, there is 34-year-old Man Bahadur Sahakari who runs Jangarjan Network Pvt. They are being investigated by filing a case under organized crime related to drug (opium) money.
Surkhet Police Chief Sudhirraj Shahi said that fake notes, 1 Canon printer, 1 CPU, monitor, camera, etc. were seized from Man Bahadur's media house.
The police came to Dilmaya based on the information that she was using fake currency. Others were arrested after 6,000 fake notes were found with him. Man Bahadur sent 2 lakh fake rupees to the market from the preliminary investigation of the police.
