197 sheep died in a lightning strike in Jumla's Gutichhour Rural Municipality-5 Hank Patan. 197 sheep died when lightning struck a herd of sheep grazing in Patan at 4 pm on Monday.

A team of armed police, Nepal Police and locals from District Police Office Jumla reached the spot and counted the number of sheep killed by lightning.

Dhan Bahadur Rawat of Sinja-6, who was injured by lightning, is being treated at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Jumla.

DSP Rabinbabu Regmi reached the spot and informed that the team has returned.
