District Police Office Jumla has informed that one person fainted when lightning struck a herd of sheep at 4:00 in the afternoon while they were grazing in the large paddock of Guthichaur rural municipality-5.

DSP Rabinbabu Regmi informed that 52-year-old Dhan Bahadur Rawat of Bhadgaon, Sinja Rural Municipality-6, was in an unconscious state. At present, a team of armed police, Nepali police and relatives of the sheep farmers are preparing to go to the scene.

Chief District Officer of Jumla, Kedarnath Sharma, said that efforts are being made to arrange a helicopter in the Ministry of Home Affairs to rescue Rawat, who was injured by lightning. District Administration Office Jumla has informed that the place where the lightning struck is very far away and the weather is unfavorable as well as it is night, so there is little chance of helicopters coming. More than 900 sheep of 6 farmers were rearing in Patan. 

But it is said that three farmers' sheep are one hour away. According to Gobind Budha, a shepherd in Patan, the condition of Rawat, who is unconscious, is serious. The said place is 7 hours south of Jharjwal from the police station and 10 hours east of the district police office Jumla. DSP Regmi said, "Now the possibility of a helicopter has reduced". A team of security personnel is being prepared for deployment.' 

'Contacted to fly the helicopter said it could not be flown . Since they were coming from Humla, it was seen that there was no fuel either,' Chief District Officer Sharma said, 'The on-site team has started to work. The

team will go to Gutichour by car. From there it will go on foot . Full details will come only after the police team reaches the spot. Sinja rural municipality has demanded immediate rescue of Rawat who was injured by lightning.
