Veerjit Kami, 27, of Chandannath-10, was arrested for stealing donations from the donation box in the Chandannath temple in Jumla. The police arrested him on Saturday evening.

He has been working as a laborer. Last Thursday at 2:40 pm, the offering was taken from the donation box. The police said that the CC TV footage of Danpeti Fedeka made it easy to investigate  .

Chief of Police DSP Rabinbabu Regmi said that the security of the temple has been tightened. Now the police under the leadership of a police constable is protecting the temple.
