The third reading fair has started in Hima Rural Municipality of Jumla. Organizers said that the education fair was started to share the educational experience of schools within the municipality and to highlight the skills and talents of the students. The fair will last for two days.
Gaurinanda Acharya, the head of the district coordination committee, inaugurated the reading fair by lighting a lamp in Panas. He said Hima is starting creative and new work in the field of education. "The task of making teachers, parents and students responsible by linking education with practical skills has been started", said the head Acharya, "These activities are expected to continue in the coming days."
This time, a learning fair is being held in the school of Hima rural municipality 1 Deyawar village. Educational experience will be exchanged between schools in the fair. There will also be an exhibition of educational materials made by students. The best school providing quality education will get the award . In the
fair, the talent, creativity and skills of the students will be properly recognized. Students, teachers and parents of 23 schools within the municipality have gathered in the fair. 'Students will showcase their knowledge, skills and talents in the fair', said Laxman Bahadur Shahi, chairman of the municipality, 'The education fair has become a suitable place to identify the suppressed talents.' They have kept a stall of made educational materials . Agricultural materials made using local resources, materials made by students themselves, stories, poems, essays, songs, paintings and handicrafts are displayed in the fair.
The organizer said that the education fair was organized to reduce the attraction towards private schools, to make public school education practical and useful for life.
