Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel said that Kankrevihar, which has historical and cultural significance, can be developed as a center of economic development of Karnali.
Addressing the Kankrevihar Research and Tourism Festival and Youth, Children and Students Conference-2082 held in Birendranagar on Friday, Chief Minister Kandel mentioned that all stakeholders should unite to understand the importance of Kankrevihar and utilize its potential.
Chief Minister Kandel said, 'If Kankrevihar can be linked with Lumbini in a touristic way, this area can become a center of attraction for foreign and domestic tourists.'
Kankrevihar is an important area from a religious, cultural and historical point of view, which can be effectively promoted and can change the economic pattern of Karnali province as a whole. Stating that Kankrevihar can be developed as an open zoo, Chief Minister Kandel expressed confidence that it will open up new possibilities in the fields of education, tourism and employment.
