The incidents of social idolatry have increased in Karnali province. High Court Surkhet has seen a surge in cases of similar nature. In the current financial year 2081/082, the number of cases of social injustice is found to be high.

From last July to May 21, only 131 cases of extortion were registered in Surkhet High Court. In which 113  18 cases are still pending.

Chief Justice Krishnalal Bhattarai informed that the highest number of cases related to forced labor were filed in the High Court this year. According to him, the cases of crimes related to life have also increased this financial year. In the current financial year, a case has been filed for the crime of duty-related death after coercion. There are 108 cases in it. In which 75 issues  There are 33 remaining. 

There has also been an increase in drug-related cases. 73 drug-related cases have been registered in the current financial year. Out of which 56 cases were dismissed and 17 cases are pending. Of the 61 cases of marriage-related offenses registered in the High Court, 26 cases were dismissed. 35 cases are still pending. 

There has also been an increase in theft cases in the current financial year. During this period, 45 theft cases were registered. In which 38 cases were dismissed and 7 cases are pending. Similarly, 31 cases related to caste untouchability have been filed. 29 cases have been disposed of, while 2 cases are yet to be disposed of. With the increase in the cases of social injustice, the risk of disrupting social harmony and unity has increased, said Bhattarai, the permanent Chief Justice of the High Court.

Similarly, 17 cases related to forest and wildlife have been registered in Surkhet High Court. 5 cases were dismissed. 12 Issues  It has yet to be sold. Out of 6 cases related to arms embezzlement, 4 have been dismissed. Two cases are yet to be settled. In the current financial year, 5 cases of human trafficking and trafficking have also been registered, according to the Surkhet High Court. In which 3 cases are dismissed, 2 remain. 

94 writ petitions have been registered so far in the current financial year. There are 76 petitions and 18 writs are left. During this period, 184  It was scattered. 20 cases are pending. In the current fiscal year, the High Court has dismissed 132 cases out of 171 defendants. The Surkhet High Court has said that more than 2,000 cases have been disposed of in three years. According to Judge Pokhrel, it is estimated that 1,000 new cases will be filed in the current fiscal year, and 712 cases by the end of June. The goal is to spread. The jurisdiction of the High Court Surkhet includes 5 districts of Karnali: Surkhet, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Salyan and Rukum West.
