The road has been blocked since 4 pm on Friday due to a landslide near Galje in Kalikot under the Surkhet-Jumla section of the Karnali highway. The road was blocked due to landslides in Bhir near Galje due to water from Juwitha Jiulo. Hundreds of goods vehicles have stopped due to the collapse of the wall on the narrow road.

"Small vehicles pass," said Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, chief district officer of Kalikot, who came to Tilagufa from Manm for on-site monitoring. "Big vehicles are not allowed to pass."

He said that the team of Road Division Office Jumla had reached the place of the landslide with machines, so on Saturday night they broke the rock and started to operate the road.
